Debola Salako-Kupoluyi fondly called DSK is passionate about transforming lives. Her innermost desire is to make a positive impact on others.
She is a dynamic professional with over fourteen (14) years of valuable experience garnered in diverse challenging roles. She has general management experience in overseeing key functions of Operations, Finance Operations, Quality Assurance, Health& Safety, and Network Operations. In her current role as Head of Operational Services Africa at American Tower Corporation (ATC) a Fortune 500 Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), she supports in-country Operations Leaders in several African countries to establish consistent, repeatable programs that ensures resource optimization and the achievement of key business objectives. She also focuses on assessment of operational risks across the markets and ensuring that there are adequate controls in place to mitigate them.
Prior to joining ATC, Adebola worked with the advisory team of KPMG Professional services for four (4) years focusing on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), internal audit planning and execution, budget forecasting monitoring and control, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) reviews, process reengineering, revenue assurance, fraud investigations and project management for clients in sectors such as Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), oil & gas, telecommunications, banking and health.
She has obtained Executive education in management & leadership and sustainability from MIT, Sloan School of Management and Oxford, Saïd Business School respectively. She also obtained distinction honours for her MBA.
Burdened by the number of street kids, she started Mantle of Mordecai (MOM) foundation, a registered non-profit organization with the mission to reduce the population of out-of-school children in Nigeria and by extension Africa. In 2020, Debola authored her first book titled “FREE”, a book that reveals how six successful women were sexually abused when they were children. It highlights precautions that could be taken to avoid sexual abuse and emphasizes the importance of parenting in curbing it. FREE is available for purchase in French and English language on Amazon.
Debola is also the Country Ambassador, Nigeria and Executive Secretary for Rise & Lead Women Netherlands – a global knowledge sharing, education and advocacy platform that connects leaders, emerging leaders, NGOs and change-makers to promote the inclusion of women in leadership in the workplace, marketplace and society to foster peace and prosperity in the world. Debola also volunteers as a mentor at Cherie Blair Foundation, a UK based non for profit with the mission to empower women to start, grow and sustain successful businesses, so they can redefine the future for themselves and their societies. She has also previously volunteered as a mentor at The Tony Elumelu Foundation and FATE foundation tasked with empowering young entrepreneurs in Africa.
Debola is also a Crans Montana Forum “New Leader for Tomorrow”, a unique Community of young leaders from Africa, the Arab World, Far Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South America and Far East selected due to exceptional professional achievement and leadership experience in Businesses and Governments.
